Hello readers,
Today I have some more shades from Paint It Pretty Polish to share with you. I already showed you the LE and exclusive polishes they're bringing to Indie Expo Canada this year. Now it's time for some shades from other collections. Let's take a look at swatches.
Flake Off
Flake Off features a purple leaning pink jelly base with lots of small indigo metallic flakies and scatter holo shimmer. The formula was a bit sheer though built up to full coverage in three coats. This dries nice and smooth on its own but I added top coat out of habit. Photos show three coats of Flake Off with one coat of Lucky 13 Lacquer Elemental Ward top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Flurries Of Fun
Flurries Of Fun features a turquoise (cold) to light blue (warm) thermal base filled with blue and green iridescent flecks. The formula was easy to work with taking three coats for full coverage. This dries to a matte finish so I recommend top coat for shine. Photos show three coats of Flurries Of Fun with one coat of Lucky 13 Lacquer Elemental Ward top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Reach For The Stars
Reach For The Stars is a blue thermal with a strong turquoise flecked shimmer. The shift in this one was a lot more subtle than the other thermal shades I tried with the base colour shifting to a little bit lighter blue when warm. This shade took three coats for full coverage and dries to a matte finish. Zebra Stripes
Zebra Stripes is a charcoal grey (cold) to pale grey creme thermal. The formula was easy to work with taking three coats for full coverage. This dries to a smooth satin finish, so you'll need to add top coat if you want shine. Conclusion
My personal favorites Zebra Stripes and Flurries Of Fun. I also really want to do some black stamping over Zebra Stripes. I think the grey scale result would be stunning. If you want to pick up any of these shades at Indie Expo Canada, make sure to let Sherri know in the Paint It Pretty Polish Fans Facebook group so she can make sure to bring them. Happy polishing,
Michelle
