Acure Organics Pore Clarifying Red Clay Mask & Seriously Soothing Micellar Water Cleansing Towelettes Review

Acure Organics Pore Clarifying Red Clay Mask Review

Hello readers,
Today I some more products from Acure Organics to share with you. Clay masks and makeup wipes are staples in my skin care routine so both of these items have great potential for me.

Pore Clarifying Red Clay Mask

Acure Red Clay Mask Review

I have sometimes oily, still acne prone in my 30's, uncooperative skin. Clay masks play a big part in my skin care routine so I was really excited to try this. This wasn't quite the clay formula I was expecting based on other clays masks. Most of them tend to be rather thick and dry to a tight crackly finish on your face. This red clay mask had a thinner, yet still easy to apply, formula and it didn't end up drying which made it more comfortable to wear. After rinsing it off, my skin did feel a bit dry. That's expected; clay masks absorb oil. Just make sure to use your favorite moisturizer afterwards.

Acure Micellar Wipes Review

I have two main use cases for makeup removing wipes:

1) When I am just exhausted and I know I should take off my makeup before bed but I really don't feel like doing the whole facial cleanser thing, and
2) Cleaning up between shades when doing makeup swatches for the blog.

I ended up testing these out with situation #1 since that's likely the most common use case. First thing I noticed was that these didn't irritate my eyes even when wiping off mascara. My eyes are super sensitive to makeup removes, there are only a couple that I've found that don't bug them, so I was really pleasantly surprised that these wipes fell into that category. That being said, I do wish these were a bit more moist. I felt like they cloth dried out quite quickly and while that was enough to take off my light makeup consisting of powder, blush, highlighter and mascara, I do think I'd need more than one wipe be able to take off a full face of makeup. One other notable thing is the packaging, specifically the plastic clip lid. So many similar products open and close with a sticker-type flap. I find that about half way though, the packaging loses its stickiness and just won't seal which means dried out wipes. Not with these wipes. The clip style lid means it will close just as well whether the package is full or almost empty.

Conclusion

My personal favorite of these two new-to-me products is the red clay mask. The wipes will also come in handy for those days when I'm not wearing too much makeup. You can find the full range of Acure Organics products on Well.ca:
