Comparison: Essie Retro Revival Starry Starry Night vs Colors By Llarowe Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
Hello readers,
There's been a lot of discussion lately about how the new Essie Retro Revival Starry Starry Night compares to the original. While I'm not one of the lucky few to have an original bottle, I do have CBL Twinkle Twinkle Little Star which is considered a dupe for the original SSN. Let's take a look at how the two compare.

Essie Retro Revival Starry Starry Night Swatches & Review
Hello readers,
The re-release of Essie Starry Starry Night as part of the Retro Revival collection has drawn a lot of attention and questions of how the new formulation would compare to the original. I had convinced myself that I could skip the new one and exercised my will power when I saw it at the store, but luck intervened and I won a giveaway for the shade from Procrastinails.

Zoya Whispers Collection Swatches & Review
Hello readers,
Today I have the Zoya Whispers collection to share with you. Zoya describes this collection as a muted and tranquil palette of transitional nail neutrals. My initial thought upon seeing the shades was that this feels more like an early spring collection rather than one for the beginning of winter. I'm not quite sure what I'm transitioning to at this point in the year. However, there are some pretty shades in the bunch so let's take a look at them individually.

Birchbox Canada January 2016 Unboxing & Review
Hello readers,
My Birchbox arrived very quickly this month (I hadn't even received tracking yet!). Our sample choices this month were between a body lotion, a face balm and a sheet mask. I chose the face balm. Let's see what else came in the box.

Lagoon Nails
Hello readers,
Today I have some more nail art to share with you. I started out with a base of Zoya Ireland, a mossy grey green. Then I added a coat of Femme Fatale Unwoven Light to add some sparkle and shimmer. I added the leafy pattern using Lilypad Lacquer Bluebell and Bundle Monster plate BM-501. One coat of CND Super Shiney sealed everything up. The end result reminds me of a shallow lagoon - a mix of blue water, green seaweed and sparkling light.

Black and Nude Lace Nail Stamping
Hello readers,
I'm in the midst of swatching the Zoya Whispers collection (coming soon to a blog near you!) but I thought I'd share some nail art I did with one of the shades first. I used Zoya April, a rosy toned nude, as my base. Then I used China Glaze Liquid Leather and Moyou Bridal Collection Plate 07 to stamp on the lacey design. I dabbed a little Julep Estell on the center of the lace design to add some subtle sparkle and finally sealed everything up with one coat of Girly Bits Glitter Glaze. Photos were taken in daylight spectrum lighting.
