Hello readers,
Harlow & Co recently sent me the new KBShimmer Wanderlust collection to share with you. This collection features shades inspired by a trip to California and draws on colours from nature and west coast living. Let's take a look at swatches.
Hakuna Moscato
Hakuna Moscato features a sheer purple tinted base filled with small metallic rose gold flakes. The formula was easy to apply though I found I did experience a little dragging if I didn't allow for a little dry time between coats. This dries quite shiny and smooth on its own but I added top coat out of habit. Succ It Up
Succ It Up features a medium blurple base with a strong turquoise flash and a sprinkling of scatter holo shimmer. The formula was easy to work with taking three coats for full coverage. This shade dries to a satin finish so top coat is recommended if you want a shiny finish. Meet Me At The Barre
Meet Me At The Barre is a pale pink creme. In some lighting it also leaned a bit peach. The formula was a little bit thick and I found floating the brush a little more than I usually would helped get even coverage. This shade benefits from top coat for a perfect glossy finish. Cactus If You Can
Cactus If You Can is a soft medium green with a pink flash and scatter holo shimmer. The formula was easy to work with taking three coats for full coverage, though it was so close after two that those with shorter nails or a less distinct nail line will likely find two is enough. This shade dried to a satin finish so top coat is recommended if you want shine. Wander-full World
Wander-full World is a vibrant medium pink holo. The formula was excellent taking two thin coats for full coverage. This dries shiny on its own but I added top coat out of habit. Don't Fear The Reefer
Don't Fear The Reefer is a bright mint green holo. Another excellent formula. I used three thin coats here but it was so close after two that if you have shorter nails or a less distinct nail line, two would likely be enough. Rise & Grind
Rise & Grind is a cool toned coffee brown holo. Same great holo formula as the other shades in this collection taking two coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Rise & Grind with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Now & Zen
Now & Zen features a medium periwinkle blue base with a strong green flash and a holo silver flecked shimmer. The formula was easy to work with taking three coats for full coverage. This shade dries down to a satin finish so top coat is recommended for shine. Photos show three coats of Now & Zen with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Conclusion
My personal favorites from this collection are Cactus If You Can, Now & Zen and Succ It Up. I love contrasting shimmers and all thee shades did that really well. The Wanderlust Collection is available now at Harlow & Co. You can find Harlow & Co on
