Today I have two new shades from Rogue Lacquer to share with you. These polishes are available exclusively at Girly Bits Cosmetics, their Canadian stockist. Let's take a look at swatches.
Puns Of Steel
Puns Of Steel features a pale steely blue base filled with emerald green and indigo blue metallic flakes and a silver scatter holo shimmer. The formula was easy to work with taking three coats for full coverage. However, it was so close after two that if you have shorter nails or a less distinct nail line two coats will likely be enough. This does dry with a slight texture due to the flakies but nothing that top coat can't handle easily. Photos show three coats of Puns Of Steel with one coat of CND Creative Play top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Girly Bits
Girly Bits features a deep teal to purple shifting base with small orange to green shifting metallic flakes, small indigo glitter, tiny silver holo glitters and scatter holo shimmer. The formula was easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage. This shade also dries with a little bit of texture like Puns Of Steel but again, top coat will take care of it. Photos show two coats of Girly Bits with one coat of CND Creative Play top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Conclusion
I'm not picking favorites because both these shades appeal to me. I really like complex shimmery finishes and these polishes both fall into that category. These shades are available now for $15CAD each on the Girly Bits website. You can find Girly Bits Cosmetics on
