Hello readers,
Today I have the July and August COTM shades from Girly Bits Cosmetics to share with you. Normally I'd only share one month at a time, but since these are all available for the rest of the month I thought I'd show you everything that's up for grabs in a single post. Let's take a look at swatches.
Dime And Dash
Dime And Dash features a clear base packed with silver shimmer, silver flecks, tiny silver holo glitters, tiny blue glitters and small iridescent hex glitters. The formula was excellent taking two easy thin coats for full coverage. This dries with a tiny bit of texture. One coat of top coat will smooth it out 95% of the way, two coats will be helpful if you absolutely need a 100% perfectly smooth finish. I used one coat for the photos below. Photos show two coats of Dime And Dash with one coat of Girly Bits Cosmetics Glitter Glaze top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
I've Got My Ion You
I've Got My Ion You features a teal leaning green jelly base filled with golden aurora shimmer and pink to gold shifting magnetic shimmer. The formula was easy to work with taking three coats for full coverage, though in certain bright lighting situations my nail line shows through the tiniest bit. I applied the first coat without magnetizing it, and the magnetized the second and third coats with a bar magnet. I did not need to apply the magnet again after top coat. Unicornucopia
Unicornucopia features a cobalt blue jelly base filled with red to green shifting shimmer, metallic flakies in shades of pink, green, blue and gold, and a sprinkling of small holo glitters. The formula was very easy to work with taking three coats for 95% coverage. I say 95% because in very bright lighting my nail line still shows through a tiny bit, but in most cases it doesn't. Pegasussed
Pegasussed features a medium purple holo case with a strong pink shimmer, tiny holo flecks and a sprinkling of metallic flakes in shades of blue, green and copper. The formula was excellent taking three easy thin coats for full coverage. It was so close after two that I imagine those with shorter nails or a less distinct nail line will find two is enough. Conclusion
Girly Bits clearly had me in mind when curating these COTM polishes because they are all totally my style. All four shades are available now and will be for sale until September 1st, 2018. You can find Girly Bits Cosmetics on
Happy polishing,
Michelle
