Hello readers,
Today I have the Amuse Bouche holiday shade from Bite Beauty to share with you. The Amuse Bouche line in general has been mostly cremes, with the occasional fine shimmer in the past so I was intrigued by this shade which has a much stronger flecked shimmer. Let's take a look at swatches.
Spiced Plum is described as a metallic berry-red. The base leans a little more brown than I was expecting once applied, but the shimmer definitely captures that berry-red colour. The formula itself was somewhat sheer and creamy, not quite what I was expecting from the Amuse Bouche label. You can build it up to medium even coverage, but your natural lip colour definitely still shows through. On the lips, you don't feel the shimmer/glitter particles which is great but it feels like it will slide around quite easily.
I tested this formula during a long family holiday dinner. Over the course of a couple hours including drinking and eating, a lot of the lipstick wore off. However, this shaded faded gracefully. The shimmer particles tended to last longer than the base colour and there weren't any distinct wear spots or lines. I was also happy to see that it didn't smudge outside my lip lines. Overall, if you like this shade and are willing to reapply a few times throughout the day, it's definitely worth checking out. Looking for swatches of other Amuse Bouche shades? Be sure to check these out.

Happy polishing,
Michelle
