This polish is a medium teal crelly base with varying sizes of pink and yellow hex glitter. When I deciding which colours from Pipe Dream Polish I wanted to try I was flip flopping a bit on this one because I normally don't like yellow at all. Something about it caught my eye though so I decided to give it a shot.
I am so glad that I did. I love this polish! There's something whimsical about it. It has deceptively good coverage too. When I first pulled the brush out of the bottle my first thought was that the polish seemed quite thin and watery. I thought it was going to take a bajillion coats to get opaque. However, when I put it on the first nail I though "huh, that's actually covering a lot". By time I was done the second coat it was 90% opaque. After the third coat it was completely opaque. I love the contradictory quality of this polish. The thin formula makes it super easy to work with but it still goes opaque in three coats. Dear Pipe Dream Polish: Whatever formula or strategy you used to make this polish... keep using it!
As a bonus this polish dries really smoothly considering how much glitter is in it. To prove my point I took all the above photos with NO top coat. They all show three coats of Pink Elephants and Lemonade in natural sunlight. I'm kinda regretting only getting a mini bottle of this colour now. If you like what you see and want a bottle of your very own check out the Pipe Dream Polish Etsy store at https://www.etsy.com/shop/pipedreampolish. What do you think of Pink Elephants and Lemonade?
