Hello readers,
Today I'm continuing my challenge to myself to shop my collection more. Polished For Days is a relatively new to me brand so I only have three of their shades but they're all complex flecked shimmers which are definitely my style. Let's take a look at swatches.
Solar Flare
Solar Flare features a deep reddish brown base filled with orange to green to gold shifting shimmer, orange to green to gold iridescent flakies and a sprinkle of scatter holo. The formula was nicely pigmented and easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage. This dries relatively smoothly on its own but does have the occasional flakie divot. I recommend top coat for a perfectly smooth finish. Photos show two coats of Solar Flare with one coat of Sephora X Shine XCEL top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Grey Opal
Grey Opal features a medium grey jelly bae packed with small white flecks, orange flecked shimme and orange to green shifting iridescent flakies. The formula was easy to work with and took three coats for full coverage. This dried to a slightly less than shiny finish so if you like shine, add top coat. Photos show three coats of Grey Opal with one coat of Sephora X Shine XCEL top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
From The Land Of Oz
From The Land Of Oz features a medium blurple base filled with small silver flecks, a strong green flecked shimmer, turquoise iridescent flakies and a sprinkling of scatter holo. The formula was a tad thicker than I prefer but still relatively easy to work with. This is another one that dries down with some flakie divots so top coat is recommended. Photos show three coats of From The Land Of Oz with one coat of Sephora X Shine XCEL top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Final Thoughts
My personal favorite of the three is Grey Opal. It's just a perfect flecked stone-like finish. These three shades were limited releases from Polish Pick Up, but you may be able to find them in destashes. In general, you can find Polished For Days on
