Today I have the Sea Water Shimmers Part II collection from BLUSH Lacquers to share with you. This collection is a sequel to the original Sea Water Shimmers release from 2016 and features seven new shimmery shades. Let's take a look at swatches.
Esme Cove
Esme Cove features a muted lilac purple base filled with blue to purple shifting flecked shimmer. The formula was easy to work with and took two coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Esme Cove with one coat of Sephora X Shine XCEL top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Theodora Delphine
Theodora Delphine features a pale sage green base filled with pink to gold to green shifting flecked shimmer. Two thin coats were enough for full coverage, which was pleasantly unexpected for a pale shade over my prominent nail lines. Vanora Horizon
Vanora Horizon features a medium olive green base filled with pink to orange shifting flecked shimmer. The formula was easy to work with taking two thin coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Vanora Horizon with one coat of Sephora X Shine XCEL top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Calliope Pacifica
Calliope Pacifica features a pale taupe grey base filled with pink to orange shifting flecked shimmer. Another easy two coat formula to work with (that I thought would need more becuase of the pale base). Gemma Atlas
Gemma Atlas features a pale purple leaning grey base filled with bright green flecked shimmer. I also saw hints of copper and red shimmer at an angle in shaded lighting. This shade had an easy to work with two coat formula. Photos show two coats of Gemma Atlas with one coat of Sephora X Shine XCEL top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Marin Bering
Marin Bering features a muted mauve base filled with copper to gold shifting flecked shimmer. I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but this shade needed two thin coats for full coverage. Ocean Moonbeam
Ocean Moonbeam features a muted teal base filled with blue to purple shifting flecked shimmer. Yet another excellent two coat formula with this shade. Photos show two coats of Ocean Moonbeam with one coat of Sephora X Shine XCEL top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Final Thoughts
This is my first time officially swatching for BLUSH Lacquers and I am impressed. The polishes are beautiful and had consistently excellent two coat formulas. My personal favorite shades are Theodora Delphine, Calliope Pacifica and Marin Bering. I don't think I've seen anything like them. Overall, if any of these catch your eye you can't go wrong.
The Sea Water Shimmers II collection will release during the BLUSH Lacquers Pre-Black Friday Sale on Friday November 9th, 2018 at 7pm EST.
