Hello readers,
Today I have Emily de Molly's upcoming October release to share with you. As is the usual EdM stype, this collection has a wide variety of colours and finishes. Let's take a look at swatches.
The Calm One

The Calm One features a peachy pink crelly base filled with flecked golden shimmer. The formula was easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage. This shade dried down to satin matte finish so top coat is recommended for shine. Photos show two coats of The Calm One with one coat of Sephora X Shine XCEL top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Midlife Crisis

Midlife Crisis is a mauve-red base filled with a super strong green to pink shifting flecked shimmer. This shade seriously glows. The formula was easy to work with and took three coats for full coverage and dries down smooth. Glitters Reign

Glitter Reigns features a warm purple base with a soft copper sheen and lots of tiny silver holo glitters. This one was nice and pigmented. I used two coats here, but if you were careful you could probably get away with one. This shade dries to a satin finish so top coat is recommended for shine. The World Belongs To Us

The World Belongs To Us features a pale turquoise blue base with a find pink to green shifting shimmer and small copper flecks. Another easy two coat formula with this one. Today At Noon

Today At Noon is a berry red holo with copper magnetic shimmer. The formula was quite pigmented and if you weren't magnetizing it, this could be a one coat. If you do magnetize it apply the first coat normally and then magnetize the second for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Today At Noon with one coat of Sephora X Shine XCEL top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Version Of A Truth

Version Of A Truth features a pale mauve (cold) to pale lavender (warm) thermal base with a strong green shimmer and silver flakes. I accidentally forgot that this was a thermal and photographed it mostly in the cold state. The single nail macro at the end shows you the shifted colour though. The formula was easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage in the cold state. In the warm state my nail lines showed through a tiny bit so if your hands run warm you may want to add a third. Electric Arc

Electric Arc features a silver holo base with a sprinkling of small silver holo glitters and a subtle blue magnetic shimmer. This shade was nicely pigmented. I applied the first coat normally and then used a bar magnet on the second coat. The blue shimmer is subtle in person, but does show up more than in my photos. My camera just refused to capture it. Sea Of Lies

Sea Of Lies features a blue tinted base filled with pink to green to blue shifting aurora shimmer. This one seriously glows on the nail. The formula was easy to work with and took two coats for full coverage. My nail lines show through a bit in the swatches, but under my light box lighting was the only place where this happened. Conclusion
My personal favorites from this release are Midlife Crisis and Sea Of Lies. I don't own anything like them. The October collection will be releasing on Thursday October 18th at 10am AEDT on the Australian site and Wednesday October 17th at 7pm EDT on the US & International site. Happy polishing,
Michelle
