Hello readers,
Today I have Hello Waffle Cosmetics' April Visage box to share with you. This month's selection was inspired by the novel The Alchemist. This is a story that I read relatively recently and I can see the tale's desert backdrop showing through in the rich neutral shades. Let's take a look at swatches.
Hello Waffle Cosmetics King Of Salem Eyeshadow

King Of Salem is a bronze metallic shadow with a brassy sheen. The formula was quite pigmented and easy to apply. A sticky primer helps bring out the bright sheen for this one.

Language Of Omens looks more beige in the jar bu applies as a shimmer peach with a golden sheen. The formula was easy to apply. I used it over primer here, but it could be sheered out more without it. Because of that I think this could also make a lovely highlighter.

Soul Of The World is a deep satin plum with copper flecks and blue sparks. This one definitely benefits from a sticky primer. I also recommend patting this shade on as it tends to get a bit muddy and more muted if you buff it at all.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics It Is Written Finishing Powder

It Is Written is a pale cream translucent finishing powder with a very subtle golden sheen. I've applied it a little heavy handed in the swatch below so you can get an idea of the shade, but it can be blended out more.

Personal Legend is a warm tan bronzer with a subtle sheen. It is fairly sheer, which I prefer in a bronzer, for a more natural sun touched look.

Faith is a deep orange liquid lipstick with a golden sheen. It dries down to a matte finish. I thought this shade would look horrid on me but I was pleasantly surprised to find that I quite liked it.

Conclusion
My personal favorites this month are the finishing powder (I adore HW's finishing powder formula in general) and the liquid lipstick (my first orange!). You can find Hello Waffle Cosmetics on
Happy polishing,
