Hello readers,
Today I have the Cottontail collection from Live Love Polish to share with you. This trio features three spring shades in a shimmery flecked finish. Let's take a look at swatches.
Binky
Binky features fine lavender and blue pearlescent flecks in a clear base. The formula was a bit finicky to apply. It tended to drag if I went over the same spot twice in the same coat. So, as much as you want to fix up that little sheer spot, just wait until the next coat. I used two coats for *almost* full coverage. Usually the shimmer took over and my nail lines weren't visible, but occasionally they did peek through. Photos show two coats of Binky with one coat of Live Love Polish Quick Dry Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Cottontail
Cottontail features fine teal and indigo glass flecks in a clear base. The formula was easy to work with, taking three coats for full coverage. I found that the flecks in this one seemed a bit more apparently when it dried resulting in a slightly less frosty than Binky. Flopsy
Flopsy features fine medium pink flecks in a clear base. This one had a similar formula to Cottontail, though I did experience a bit of dragging so wait a little extra time between coats. I used three coats for full coverage and added top coat for shine. Photos show three coats of Flopsy with one coat of Live Love Polish Quick Dry Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Conclusion
My personal favorite of the three is Cottontail. The finish was so glowy and you know I love my teals and blues. It also had the best formula of the bunch. Unfortunately, this was a one time limited edition release, and though it's only been availabe for a few weeks it seems to have already sold out. If you love these shades, let Live Love Polish know since I've occasionally seen LE shades return. You can find L.L.P. on
Happy polishing,
Michelle
