Hello readers,
Continuing my challenge to myself to shop my collection, I chose A England as the brand to focus on for March. Let's take a look at the polishes I chose and lots of swatches.
Sleeping Palace
Sleeping Palace is a deep aubergine purple scatter holo. The formula was very pigmented and easy to work with. One coat was all I needed for full coverage. Photos show one coat of Sleeping Palace with one coat of Girly Bits Cosmetics What A Rush top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Princess Tears
Princes Tears features a pale icy purple scatter holo base with a violet flash. The formula was easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Princess Tears with one coat of Girly Bits Cosmetics What A Rush top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Wuthering Heights
Wuthering Heights features a medium purple leaning grey base with a soft scatter holo shimmer. The formula was very pigmented and only needed one coat for full coverage. Whispering Waves
Whispering Waves features a bright holo turquoise base with a pink flash. The formula was very easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage. This dries slightly less than shiny so I do recommend top coat if a glossy finish is your style. Her Rose Adagio
Her Rose Adagio is a pale muted pink holo. The formula was very easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage. It was so close after one though that if you have shorter nails or a less distinct nail line this one may be a one-coater for you. Dancing With Nureyev
Dancing With Nureyev is a steely grey-blue holo with a strong perwinkle sheen. The formula was very easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage. I do find the sheen stands out more when I add top coat. Photos show two coats of Dancing With Nureyev with one coat of Live Love Polish Quick Dry Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Captive Goddess
Captive Goddess features a muted grey-green holo base with a strong teal flash. It also has a sublte shift to purple in certain lighting. This had a great two coat formula. Like Dancing With Nureyev, I found top coat really helps show of the turquoise sheen. Saint George
Saint George is a deep teal leaning green scatter holo. I was able to get full coverage with a single easy coat. This shade also dries with a bit of squishiness and depth which I love. Conclusion
Overall Whispering Waves, Captive Goddess and Saint George were my favorites of the A England shades I pulled out of my collection this month. You can find A England on
Happy polishing,
Michelle
