Zoya Party Girls Collection Swatches & Review Part I

Zoya Party Girls collection

Hello readers,
Today I have the first half of the Zoya Party Girls collection for the 2017 holiday season to share with you. This release features a mix of cremes, shimmers and metallics so there's lots to choose from. Let's take a look at swatches.

Delaney

Delaney is described as a royal multichromatic metallic flip. I was really excited when I saw the work multichrome, except that it kind of fell short. In the bottle you can see a prominent shift through green and blue but on the nail you only get some very very subtle hints of green in just the right lighting. To me, this is a metallic amethyst purple, not a multi-(or even a duo)-chrome. The formula was quite sheer. It took three coats for full coverage and on the last one I still had to keep an eye out for sheer spots. There are subtle brush strokes but compared it didn't take a lot of work to minimize them. Photos show three coats of Delaney with one coat of CND Creative Play top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Tawny

Tawny is a fiery red leaning orange with rose and copper flakes packed into a deep orange jelly base. I wasn't sure about this one in the bottle, but I'm really digging it on the nail. It's shiny and squishy all at the same time. I was also pleasantly surprised that it only took two coats for full coverage, which is great for a jelly based formula. Isadora

Isadora features a deep magenta jelly base filled with a find plum shimmer and fine specks of blue. Two easy coats were needed for full coverage. The shimmer in this one give it a glowy look, which I love. Photos show two coats of Isadora with one coat of CND Creative Play top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Danielle

Danielle is a deep periwinkle blue creme with purple undertones. The formula was quite pigmented and took two coats for full coverage. The formula does get tacky quite quickly, so just save going over the same spot for the second coat to avoid dragging. Photos show two coats of Danielle with one coat of CND Creative Play top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Nadia

Nadia is a gold and copper flecked topper. I also see some hints of pink in there. I wore a single coat here over Danielle. The formula was easy to work with to get even coverage. I imagine I could also wear this by itself in 3-4 coats. Photos show one coat of Nadia over Danielle with one coat of CND Creative Play top coat.

Solstice

Solstice is a rich coral flecked shimmer. I brighter lighting I find it leans more orange, and in shaded lighting I find the pink undertones come through more. The formula was easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Solstice with one coat of CND Creative Play top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Conclusion

There are lots of good two coat options in this mix. My personal favorites so far are Tawny and Isadora. I do feel this colour palette leans more fall than Holiday/Winter. I also wish that the flecked holo formula of Aurora, Dream, Payton, etc. had made an appearance (hint hint Zoya). The Party Girls collection is available now. You can find Zoya on

Happy polishing,

Michelle
