Hello Waffle Cosmetics Visage October 2017 Unboxing & Review

Hello Waffle Visage October 2017 swatch review

Hello readers,
Today I have Hello Waffle Cosmetics' October Visage box to share with you. This month has a very halloween-ey vibe, which makes sense since it was inspired by the song of the witches scene at the beginning of Shakespear's Hamlet. Double, double, makeup and trouble.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Adder's Fork Eyeshadow

Adder's Fork is a deep matte ochre. I had trouble getting an even finish when applying this one. It gets quite muddy over primer and turns a lot more brown, but wasn't very pigmented over bare skin either. It took a bit of effort to build it up without primer in the swatch below.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Wool Of Bat Eyeshadow

Wool Of Bat features a matte black base with forest green sparks. This one is very pigmented, but the green sparkles got kind of lost in the black base when I tried it over UDPP. On my second attempt I added Hello Waffle's Glitter Enchantment over my UDPP and got the sparkles to show up better.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Eye Of Newt Fairy Dust Overshadow

Eye Of Newt is a shiny sparkly mossy green with a minty green sheen. It's very pigmented and easy to build up to full coverage. You're going to want to use some sort of primer with this one though to keep all of those flecks glued down.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Cauldron Blush

Cauldron is a deep matte mauve blush. I was really excited about this one when I saw the jar, but was disappointed when I tested it out on my wrist. The formula seemed really sheer. However, when I tested it out on my cheeks I realized that any more and my cheeks would resemble plums.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Witch Song Liquid Highlighter

Witch Song is a shimmery silver highlighter. I found the formula a bit more liquidy than the other two liquid highlighter shades I have from Hello Waffle. It was still easy to apply though. I just dabbed it on with my fingertip for the swatch below. I don't own a cool toned silver like this, so it's a good addition to my collection.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Trouble Charm Lipstick

Trouble Charm is a greyed out lavender creme. The formula is creamy and comfortable on the lips. It has medium pigmentation. I built it up to almost full coverage in the swatch below, but you can wear it with a more sheer finish as well. This one does settle into my liplines a bit, but it's not super obvious unless you're looking closely. Definitely a unique shade in my collection.

Uniglitter Labs Bubbling Brew Glitter Gel

This month's guest indie was Uniglitter Labs. Their contribution was Bubbling brew, a glitter mix in gel with multiple sizes of black hexes, silver stars, translucent iridescent hexes and a sprinkling of teeny black glitters. So... glitter isn't my thing. I could see using it as part of a Halloween costume, but that's about it.

Conclusion

There are a few items this month that I just don't see myself using, but there are also some unique items that will make great additions to my collection. My personal favorites are the Eye Of New Fairy Dust Overshadow and Trouble Charm Lipstick. You can find Hello Waffle Cosmetics on
