Girly Bits Cosmetics June 2017 COTM Swatches & Review

Girly bits Let's Do This Again

Hello readers,
Today I have the two Girly Bits limited edition COTM polishes for June to share with you. June's shade names were inspired by the range of emotions the GB team went through planning Indie Expo Canada. Don't worry if you see something you like, these are still available for sale until the end of July. Let's take a look at swatches.

What The Hell Was I Thinking?

What The Hell Was I Thinking? features a berry leaning purple base with a pink to copper shift and a good dose of silver holo flakes. The formula was very easy to work with and took two coats to become opaque. Photos show two coats of What The Hell Was I Thinking? with one coat of What A Rush top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

... and a couple shots in shaded lighting to really bring out the shift.

Let's Do This Again!

Let's Do This Again! is a pale chartreuse green shimmer (that borders on a foiled finish) with a soft pink shimmer and a fine scatter holo. I found the formula a bit thin and experienced some cuticle flooding. Not so much that I couldn't clean it up to a neat edge, but it took more cleanup effort than usual. Three coats were needed to cover up my nail line, but if you have shorter nails you can probably get away with two. Conclusion

My personal favorite of the pair is What The Hell Was I Thinking?. You know I can't resist deep shifty purples. These shades are available now until the end of July for $16.50CAD each. You can find Girly Bits Cosmetics on

Happy polishing,

Michelle
