Hello readers,
Today I have another shade from the Born Pretty Store stamping polish collection along with one of their stamping plates to share with you. You can never go wrong with a floral motif.
Wine Stamping Polish
The formula for the Wine Stamping Polish reminded me a lot of the Dark Blue shade from the same line. The wine was very pigmented and I had no problems picking up the design or transferring the image to my nail. Like the blue, this polish had a strong smell, so just be away if scent is something you are sensitive to.
Stamping Plate BP-L067
The BP-L067 stamping plate features a variety of floral designs and works well with pigmented polishes. I found that the designs were etched a bit more shallow than I like. This resulted in it being less compatible with my trusty regular polishes that usually double as stamping polishes. However, when using a dedicated extra pigmented stamping polish, like the BPS Wine, I didn't have any issues.
Wine & Gold Floral Nail Art
For this nail art I started with a base of Girly Bits Cosmetics Sand Of A Beach topped with a coat of Girly Bits Glitter Glaze and then What A Rush to smooth out the glitters. I used the BPS Wine stamping polish and BP-L067 stamping plate to add the floral design. A coat of Girly Bits What A Rush sealed everything up. Photos were taken in daylight spectrum lighting.
Overall I'm really happy with the wine stamping polish since it was so easy to use. I'm on the fence with the plate BP-L067 since I'm limited in the polishes that I can use with it. My stamping polish collection is growing, so maybe not a huge blocker for me. If you're used to using regular polishes as stamping polishes though, this plate may be a bit trick to use. You can find Born Pretty Store on
Happy polishing,
Michelle
Oh I love how the wine plays off the pink shimmers in the polish. Gorgeous!!
