Products I Finished This Month - July 2016

Hello readers,
Summer is half gone! August can take as long it wants to pass by. This month I made it my mission to work through my stockpile of hair product and skincare samples. Let's take a look at what new items I discovered.

Hair

An ancient bottle of hairspray is the first item I finished. This TRESemme Tres Two extra hold hairspray is what I use for formal styles (which I don't wear too often). I'll restock the next time I have something fancy to attend. The Pantene Ultimate 10 BB conditioner remains a favorite.  I also tried the new Grow Strong line from Garnier.  I found it left more build up in my hair than my usuals, so I don't think I'll be buying it in the future.  The samples I worked through were Hask Macadamia Oil, gorge I'll make you look amazing daily spray and Davines OI All In One Milk. I liked the Hask hair oil.  It smelled amazing and reduced frizz, but not as much as my Dove Dry Oil. The gorge leave in treatment smelled very nice as well but I didn't really notice any difference in my hair. Finally, the Davines treatment was just so over perfumed that I barely made it through the mini bottle. Definitely not something that I can see using again.

Bath & Body

Lots of I love... bubble bath as per usual. I also finished a tube of Julep's glycolic hand scrub, which I actually used as a body scrub. This scrub is very gritty, the way I like my scrubs, but I find it a bit overpriced. I may pick it up again if it goes on sale. I also finished Burt's Bees Cranberry and Pomegranate Replenishing Body Bar. I'm not a bar soap person. When they end up in my possession I use them as shaving lather. I did let the little exfoliating bits in this one, but it's not something I would buy on my own.

Hand & Nails

This month I finished up two scents of Emerald & Ash cuticle oil. While I love these cuticles oils, E&A seems to have disappeared. The website doesn't allow purchases and the owners haven't posted any updates in months. My cuticle oil money will have to find a new recipient. I also finished a Tocca hand cream which I really liked. When my stockpile runs out this one will definitely be on my short list. I also finished a mini bottle of Girly Bits Cosmetics Glitter Glaze top coat which has become my go to top coat for glitters. I already have a few more to go through.

Skin Care

A couple repeats this month. Clinique's moisture surge extended thirst relief is one of my favorite moisturizers. I also finished another tube of derma e Hydrating Scrub. I like this scrub because it has a strong grit but didn't irritate my skin. I also tried what is theoretically $100 worth of Perricone MD Cold Plasma serum. A nice serum, yes. A hundred dollars nice? Not to me. The dr.brandt DNA dream night cream and ole henricksen truth creme were nice but no more so than my skin care staples.

Happy polishing,

Michelle
