Today I have the second half of Lucky 13 Lacquer's Always Be Yourself to share with you. If you missed the first three shades you can check them out here. This collection features nine holos with colour shifting flakes and shimmers. Let's check out the remaining shades.
Always Be Batman
Always Be Batman is a black linear holo with gold shimmer. The formula was easy to work with and took three coats to become opaque. The gold shimmer is most apparent in dim or shaded lighting. Photos show three coats of Always Be Batman with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat.
Always Be An Angel
Always Be An Angel is a metallic blue holo with microflakes that shift from blue to pink. The formula was easy to work with and took two coats to become opaque. Photos show three coats of Always Be An Angel with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat.
Always Be A Princess
Always Be A Princess is a bubblegum pink holo with subtle pink microflakes. The formula was easy to work with and took two coats to become opaque. Photos show three coats of Always Be A Princess with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat.
Always Be A Fairy
Always Be A Fairy is a very pale lilac holo with a very strong pearlescent shimmer that shifts from blue to pink. The formula was easy to work with and took three coats to become opaque. However, this polish did seem to take longer than the other to dry. The surface dried quickly like normal but several hours later I was still able to dent the finish. Photos show three coats of Always Be A Princess with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat.
Always Be A Dragon
Always Be A Dragon is forest green linear holo with pink to gold colour shifting microflakes. The formula was very easy to work with though a tad sheer. After three coats my nail line still peaks through in some lighting. The pink shimmer is more apparent in shaded lighting and the holo takes over in direct sunlight. Photos show three coats of Always Be A Dragon with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat.
Always Be Yourself
Always Be Yourself features a pale grey linear holo base with a fine shimmer that shifts from blue to pink. The formula was easy to work with and took three coats to become opaque. This shade is similar to Always Be A Fairy but the base leans more grey instead of purple and the shimmer is finer leading to a more metallic finish. Photos show three coats of Always Be Yourself with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat.
Conclusion
So there you have it. All nine shades from the Always Be Yourself collection. My personal top three are Always Be A Unicorn, Always Be A Phoenix and Always Be Batman.
