Hello readers,
Today I have a new-ish palette from tarte cosmetics to share with you. I recently picked this up from Sephora in a value kit along with a liquid lipstick and tarteist mascara, but you can also purchase it separately. This palette features six shades, four matte and two shimmer. I though this would be a great little palette to toss in my makeup bag when I'm traveling or on the go.
Whisper
Whisper is a very pale matte nude pink. I found that there was a fair bit of fallout in the pan - so dab instead of brushing to pick it up. However, I didn't experience much when applying. For me this colour blends really well into my natural skin tone. It will be great for highlights and transitions.

Crush
Crush is a very shimmery on the verge of glittery bronze. White quite pretty, it wasn't my favorite shade when trying to apply it. I experienced a lot of fallout, so either powder up those cheeks or do eyes before your face makeup with this one.

Heartbreaker
Heartbreaker is a rich matte chocolate brown. It starts out a bit sheer but can be built up. It blends nicely which is essential for a crease colour. Like Whisper I did experience fallout in the pan when trying to pick it up wit a brush, but didn't experience any during application.

Wink
Wink is a pale matte pink, though I found it took on more of a taupe colour when applied over my skin tone. This shade had only slight fallout in the pan, and no noticeable fallout during application.

First Kiss
First Kiss is a satin shimmer medium taupe and is my personal favorite shade of the palette. It applied and blended very smoothly and I didn't experience any fallout.

bff
bff is a matte eggplant purple in the pan but leans a bit more brown upon application. It has a very similar formula to Heartbreaker.

Here's a look I put togehter using all six shades from the palette. I used Wink on my entire lid and then First Kiss on the outer half of my lid. For my crease I used Hearbreaker in the inner half of the crease and bff was in the outer V. I applied Whisper in the inner corner and used it to blend the crease colours up towards my brow bone. Finally I dabbed Crush on the center of my lid and applied it on my lower lash line.
Products used: Urban Decay Primer Potion, Tartelette Tease Palette (all six shades), Essence Gel Liner in Midnight In Paris and Gosh Double Precision Mascara.
Conclusion
While I'm not sure if this will get reached for over my larger tartelette palettes, it will definitely be a great option when I need something smaller that can produce a variety of looks. I really like that it comes with shades in multiple finishes and can be used to create neutral and smokier eyes. You can find tarte cosmetics on:
Happy polishing,
Michelle
