Hello readers,
Today I have polish to share with you that has been on my wishlist since it was released last year. First off, it's called Magical Manatee and I love manatees so this was a no brainer. Second, it has shimmer and flakes. That sealed the deal.
Magical Manatee has a jelly base that I am going to call 'greblurple' because depending on the light, sometimes it looks like a greyed purple, sometimes a smoky blue and sometimes just grey. It has a soft blue shimmer and iridescent blue flakies. The formula took a little getting used to. My usual thin coat approach didn't quite mesh with this polish and left some sheer patches, but once I tried floating the brush for slightly thicker coats it was smooth sailing. It dried to a satin finish so top coat is required for shine. Photos show three coats of Magical Manatee with one coat of Girly Bits Glitter Glaze in daylight spectrum lighting.
This polish is super pretty in a soft subtle way. You can find Contrary Polish on
Happy polishing,
Michelle
I love this, just the right amount of blue and purple for me
ReplyDeleteFor me there is no such thing as too much blue or purple, but I do love the soft qualities of this shade.
