OPI Liquid Sand Stay The Night
A month or so I ago I tried my first textured polish, Julep Jill, from the Sea Salt Mystery Box. I decided that I didn't like it at all and concluded that the glitter element of some textured polishes is what really gives them their depth. I decided not to give up on textured polishes all together and am working my way through the OPI Liquid Sand collection. Even in the bottles they look awesome. Here are swatches of Stay The Night, the first one I've tried from this collection.
Stay The Night is a black jelly with black gritty bits and dark pink sparkles. It reminds me of campfire embers. These photos show two coats of Stay The Night with in natural light with no topcoat.
Application was really easy and I love the look. I'm still undecided on the actual texture part though. I keep touching my nails trying to decide if I like it or not. I think I might try putting a topcoat on later to see how it changes the look and feel of the polish.
After trying this one I am definitely looking forward to trying out the other three colours in this collection. I really like the look, and who knows, maybe the textured feel will grow on me too.
