Hello readers,
Today I have Emily de Molly's upcoming May release to share with you. This collection is heavy on the shimmers and foils in a rainbow of shades. Let's take a look at swatches.
City Of Light
City Of Light features a pale nude base filled with a foiled pink to gold to green shifting aurora shimmer. I used three coats for full coverage here but it was so close after two that those with shorter nails or a less distinct nail line than me will likely find two is enough. Photos show three coats of City Of Light with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Doll House
Doll House features a deep purple (cold) to magenta (warm) thermal base with lots of teeny rose gold flakes. The formula was easy to work with and took two coats for full coverage. This dries down to a matte finish so top coat is recommended for shine. Photos show two coats of Doll House with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Dull Beings
Dull Being features a pale grey jelly base filled with orange to green shifting iridescent flakies. The formula was easy to apply though I recommend waiting a little extra between coats to avoid dragging. This dries down with some flakie divots so top coat is recommended. Out Cold
Out Cold is a vibrant cobalt blue foiled shimmer. The formula was very easy to work with and took two coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Out Cold with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Speculation
Speculation is a vibrant green leaning teal foiled shimmer. This had the same great formula as Out Cold taking two coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Speculation with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
The Outsider
The Outsider features a pale purple base filled with a foiled green to blue to purple aurora shimmer. The formula was very easy to work with and took three coats for full coverage. However, it was so close after to that those with shorter nails or a less distinct nail line than me will probably find two is enough. Well Suited
Well Suited features a medium teal-leaning blue base with a strong gold to green shifting shimmer. The formula was easy to work with and took three coats for full coverage. Photos show three coats of Well Suited with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Your Remedy
Your Remedy features a bright red jelly base filled with tiny silver metallic flakes. The formula was surprisingly pigmented for a jelly and only took two thin coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Your Remedy with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
