Hello readers,
I was recently sent a selection of Burt's Bees Liquid Lipsticks by Topbox Circle. These are your creamy don't dry down to a super matte finish type of liquid lipstick. Not quite as long lasting but much more comfortable to wear. Let's take a look at swatches.
Sandy Seas
Sandy Seas is a pale nude pink. The formula was nicely pigmented and I got even coverage easily. This stays fairly shiny on the lips but isn't overly tacky or sticky.
Flushed Petal
Flushed Petal is a medium rose pink. This one was a little less pigmented than Sandy Seas and it took a little more work (though not a ridiculous amount) to get even coverage. You can see it settling into my lip lines a little in the swatch below.
Drenched Dahlia
Drenched Dahlia is a vibrant red. I found it some lighting it had subtle orange undertones as well. Dark shades can sometimes be tricky but that wasn't the case here. Very pigmented and even coverage in one swipe! I was super impressed with this one.
Wine Waters
Wine Waters is a deep berry wine. Remember how I said dark colours can be tricky? That was the case here. It applied somewhat patchy and it took quite a lot of swipes to get the coverage in the swatch below to be anywhere close to even.
First Impressions
Overall my picks from the shades I tried here are Sandy Seas and Drenched Dahlia. If you like liquid lipsticks and value comfort over extra long wear these could be good options for you. You can find Burt's Bees on
Happy polishing,
Michelle
