Hello readers,
Today I have Emily de Molly's upcoming March release to share with you. As is usually for Emily de Molly (and a style that I love) this collection features a wide variety of finishes and colours. Let's take a look at swatches.
One More Reason
One More Reason features a light turquoise base filled with pink to gold to green shifting aurora shimmer. I feel like this is the aurora shimmer cousin to Copper Patina. The formula was easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage. It does dry down to a satin finish so I recommend top coat for shine. Gravity Drive
Gravity Drive features a deep burgundy jelly base filled with small holo gold mico glitters. The formula was a bit thicker that I prefer though quite pigmented. I used two coats for full coverage. If I really wanted I could thin it a bit and make it a three coater. I found that waiting a little extra time between coats also helped prevent dragging. Limerick
Limerick features a pale grey-blue base filled with a strong purple to gold shifting foiled shimmer. The overall effect is a foiled washed out purple to gold metallic shifter. The formula was easy to work with and took two coats for full coverage. This dried to a not quite shiny finish so I would recommend adding top coat. Phoenix Flight
Phoenix Flight is a topper featuring tiny pink to gold to green shifting magnetic flakes and small blue flakes. I used it here over Limerick. The formula was easy to apply. I just used a single coat and an arc magnet for the swatches below. Photos show one coat of Phoenix Flight over Limerick with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Right Behind You
Right Behind You is an olive green linear holo with a copper sheen and a sprinkling of tiny holo glitters. The formula was excellent and took two easy thin coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Right Behind You with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Near And Far
Near And Far is a glowing green to blue to purple multichrome. The formula was easy to work with and took three thin coats for full coverage. Photos show three coats of Near And Far with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Another Icon
Another Icon features a grape purple jelly base filled with tiny silver holo glitters and small orange to green shifting iridescent flakies. The formula was easy to work with and took two coats for full coverage. You could add a third for extras flakes and squishiness, but I thought two looked pretty amazing already. Draft Copy
Draft Copy features a medium steel blue base with a gold to pink to green shifting aurora shimmer and lots of tiny silver holo glitters. The formula was easy to work with and took two coats for full coverage. This dries down with a smidge of texture so top coat is recommended for a perfect finish. Goddess Of Rays
Goddess Of Rays is a copper to gold to green shifting multichrome. The formula was very easy to work with and took two thin coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Goddess Of Rays with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
