I switched things up a little for this installment of my shop my collection challenge. Instead of a single brand I chose a single source of polish, Indie Expo Canada VIP bag shades. Let's take a look at swatches.
Alter Ego Poised Heroine
Alter Ego Poised Heroine features a warm plum purple jelly base filled with small copper and purple flecks. The formula was easy to work with and took three coats for 95% coverage. Technically my white of my nail tips still shows through a little, but there are so many little flakes to break it up that I didn't really notice except when looking at these swatches. Paint It Pretty Polish Only @ Expo, Eh?
Paint It Pretty Polish Only @ Expo, Eh? is a medium cool toned metallic purple with tiny blue and pink sparks. The formula was easy to work with and took three coats for full coverage. This dries down to a satin finish so top coat is recommended for shine. Photos show three coats of Only @ Expo, Eh? with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Fair Maiden You Do It Too
Fair Maiden You Do It Too features a muted plum to gold to green shifting multichrome base with lots of tiny silver holo glitters. This shade was originally released through Polish Pick Up however a selection of Fair Maiden PPU overpours were included in the 2018 IEC VIP bags. The formula was easy to work with taking three coats for full coverage. However, it was so close after two that those with shorter nail lines or a less distinct nail line than me will likely find two coats is enough. Photos show three coats of You Do It Too with one coat of Girly Bits Cosmetics Glitter Glaze top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Girly Bits Cosmetics Very Important Polish
Girly Bits Cosmetics Very Important Polish features a teal leaning green jelly base with a strong teal shimmer. The formula was easy to work with and took three coats for full coverage. Though my nail lines show a little bit in my brightly lit light box, I didn't find them to be noticeable in most lighting. Photos show three coats of Very Important Polish with one coat of Girly Bits Cosmetics Glitter Glaze in daylight spectrum lighting.
Final Thoughts
