Today I've got another shade from the Pretty Serious Midnight Manicures collection along with an Orly glitter that's been sitting in my collection for years. Old meets new!
Pretty Serious Cosmetics Araneae
Araneae is a blackened blurple jelly. The formula was very easy to work with and took two coats to become opaque. It appears almost but not quite black on the nail with purple undertones peaking through. Araneae dries nice and shiny on its own but I added top coat as per usual. Orly Gravity Bound
Gravity Bound features a blue tinted clear base with cobalt shimmer and tiny glitters along with violet and larger matte white glitters. The formula brushed on easily except for the white glitters, which required some dabbing to get the evenly distributed. It took two coats to become opaque. Because of all the glitters, this polish does dry quite bumpy. The approach that worked for me was to apply a coat of Gelous, let it settle into all the cracks and dry pretty much completely. Only then did I add the second coat of top coat. As you can see, the result is a perfect glossy finish.
