Brand Challenge: ILNP
Hello readers,
I decided to try something new for 2018 where at the beginning of each month I choose a brand in my collection to focus on. This doesn't mean I'll wear the brand exclusively during the month since I have all sorts of fun stuff to swatch and review for you guys, but I'll try to pick something from the brand of the month when I'm picking a polish from my stash to wear. I think this will help me rediscover some shades that are tucked away in drawers and boxes. For January I chose ILNP.

OPI ColorPaints Melted Stained Glass Nail Art
Hello readers,
Today I have a mani I did playing with some shades from the OPI ColorPaints collection. I started out with a base of ILNP First Class, a flecked silver holo. I then layered blocks of sheer colour using OPI Purple Perspective, Turquoise Aesthetic and Primarily Yellow. I added all the sheer colours to each nail a once so that the boundaries were easier to blend together. Finally I sealed everything up with a coat of CND Super Shiney top coat. Here's the final look. It reminds me of stained glass but without the defined colour boundaries.

ILNP First Class Swatches & Review
Hello readers,
Today I have a polish from the ILNP Fall 2015 collection to show you. I try to restict my holo purchases since I tend to buy very similar shades over and over, but the silver flakies in this one made it a little different from the rest.

ILNP Paper Route & Lucky 13 Lacquer Song Of Storms Glitter Gradient
Hello readers,
Today I have a simple glitter gradient to show you. I used ILNP Paper Route as my base colour and then dabbed on Lucky 13 Lacquer Song Of Storms to do the gradient. Finally, I used two coats of Essence Gel-Look top coat to smooth everything out to a glassy finish. This is a super easy look but I think the results look really pretty. Photos were taken in daylight spectrum lighting.

ILNP Paper Route Swatches & Review
Hello readers,
I try to resist buying holo's these days since I tend to buy the same family of colours over and over again. However, when the ILNP Summer 2015 collection came out, I couldn't resist the lure of the flecked holos. The flecked finish made them just different enough that I could justify picking up a few for myself. Paper Route is the first one I've had a chance to wear.

Summer Of Untrieds Day 6: Orange - ILNP Undenied (H)
Hello readers,
I'm back to the #summerofuntrieds challenge and today's theme was Orange. I'm not a huge fan of orange polishes which means I don't own very many and didn't have any orange untrieds. I did however just get ILNP Undenied (H) which shifts from purple to orange to gold and I figured that was good enough to fit the category.
The formula on this polish was fantastic. It only took two coats to become opaque and dried quite quickly too. I took the photos in indirect sunlight so you could better see the colour shift of this multichrome. In direct sunlight the holo aspect o the polishes takes over and produces a sparkly scatter holo rainbow. Photos show two coats of Undenied (H) with one coat of CND Super Shiney top coat in natural lighting.
Happy polishing,
Michelle

Battle Of The Purple Multichromes Part II - The Holo Multichromes!
Hello readers! Are you ready for some more comparisons?? Did you catch Part I of my purple multichrome comparison yesterday featuring Girly Bits I Hit My Bunny Phone and KBShimmer Pigment Of My Imagination? If not, you can check it out here. Today I have the four remaining holo purple multichromes to show you and you can decide if they are different enough to need them all.
Enchanted Polish Yesterday vs Girly Bits Belly Jeans vs Enchanted Polish Octopus's Garden vs ILNP Cygnus Loop (H)
Right off the bat we can see that two of these are definitely not dupes. EP Yesterday is more pink toned than the rest and Girly Bits Belly Jeans has more holo. EP Octopus's Garden and ILNP Cygnus Loop (H) look identical in the bottle though so it was worth checking out if that translated to the nail. Photos show two coats of each polish with no top coat in natural lighting.
The verdict? I'm saying Octopus's Garden and Cygnus Loops (H) are dupes. They have the same amount of holo and the same colour shift. The only difference I found was that Cygnus Loop (H) was a tiny bit more pigmented. I think if I had added a third coat of Octopus's Garden then the opacity would have been exactly the same. Belly Jeans has the same colour shift as those two but has significantly more holo pigment. Yesterday is a different colour all together.
Out of the two dupes I would have to declare ILNP Cygnus Loop (H) the winner. It is slightly more pigmented which is always nice, it is readily available and it's cheaper than the Enchanted Polish. I hope this comparison makes your multichrome shopping a little less confusing and your bank account a little happier.
Happy Polishing!
- Michelle
