Arcane Lacquer Lambient Light Swatches & Review
Hello readers,
Today I have a shimmer flecked spring polish from Arcane Lacquer to show you.
Lambient Light is a bit of a trickster. In indoor light it leans more pink but in sunlight it looks like a bright lilac. It also features lots of iridescent blue flakes. The formula was easy to work with and took two coats to become opaque. Photos show two coats of Lambient Light with one coat of HK Girl top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Arcane Lacquer Make A Move Swatches & Review
Hello readers,
Do you ever have a polish that you compulsively call by the wrong name every time? I was convinced Arcane Lacquer's Make A Move was actually called Make A Mauve until I got it in person and looked at the label. I guess my mind wanted to turn the name into a pun.
Make A Move is a medium mauve with a strong copper flecked shimmer. It leans more purple in direct bright lighting and looks a little dustier in shade or reduced lighting. The formula was great. I used three coats to reach opacity but two would be enough it you kept an eye out for bald spots. Photos show three coats of Make A Move with one coat of Nubar Diamont top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
I love that the shimmer in this polish is just as strong on the nail as it is in the bottle. You can find Arcane Lacquer on:

Jellyfish Stamping
Hello readers,
Today I have a two-toned stamped mani to show you. I used Arcane Lacquer Erudite Charm as by based colour and then stamped overlapping jellyfish from Bundle Monster plate BM-504 using Color Club What A Drag and China Glaze Hook And Line. Finally I topped everything off with a coat of CND Super Shiney top coat. The result is an underwater jellyfish lagoon! I've also been playing around with my new lightbox. The top four photos are in direct natural light and the bottom four are using the light box in natural light.
Happy polishing,
- Michelle

Arcane Lacquer Erudite Charm Swatches & Review
Hello readers,
Today I have a lovely polish from Arcane Lacquer to show you. I got this one during last year's boxing day sale and sadly it's been neglected until now.
Erudite Charm features a cool medium blue crelly base filled with tiny blue and navy glitters and a soft pink shimmer. The formula was great and easy to work with. I used three coats but you could definitely get away with two if you kept an eye out for the odd sheer spot. In softer lighting the blue base is the predominant colour but in direct sunlight or very bright indoor lighting the pink shimmer becomes visible. Photos show three coats of Erudite Charm with one coat of HK Girl top coat in natural lighting.
I really like that this polish is understated but still a little bit more than a creme at the same time. You can find Arcane Lacquer on:

Teal Glitter Gradient
Hello readers,
Today I have a quick post for you showcasing my favorite way to hide chips... glitter gradients! My original many used a base colour of Arcane Lacquer Headstrong and one coat of Girly Bits Cosmic ocean to add shimmer. To cover up some tip wear and minor chips I dabbled Rainbow Honey The Kraken on the tips. Sparkly and functional! A coat of Seche Vite smoothed everything out and my mani was good to go for another couple days.
Happy polishing,
- Michelle

Arcane Lacquer Headstrong Swatches & Review
Hello readers,
Today I have another one of the Arcane Lacquers from my boxing day haul to show you, Headstrong.
Headstrong features a dark teal jelly base with a sprinkling of tiny iridescent blue glitters. I wasn't a hug fan of the formula on this one. I found it difficult to get an even coat and even after three coats there were still a couple of sheer spots on my nails. What really disappointed me though is that the little blue glitters pretty much disappear on the nail. That is, except for the little bumps in the polish that some of them leave behind. I really wish they had been more visible. Photos show three coats of Headstrong with one coat of CND Super Shiny in natural lighting. It does lean slightly more green in real life.
I really wanted to love this one but I just can't. The formula is tricky to get opaque, the glitters are barely visible on the nail and it doesn't dry quite smoothly. I think the same base would have worked a lot better with some sort of shimmer added. It feels like it's just missing something. This is the first Arcane Lacquer that I wasn't happy with so I'm definitely not writing off this brand as a whole. Hopefully this is just a fluke. You can find Arcane Lacquer at:
