Brand Challenge: Arcane Lacquer

Arcane Lacquer Review

Hello readers,
Today I have a few shades from my Arcane Lacquer collection to share with you. Let's take a look at swatches.

In This Sobriety

In This Sobriety features a deep grey crelly based filled with translucent iridescent flakies in shades of blue, pink, orange and purple and holo sparks. The formula was a little patchy, but built up to full coverage in three coats. It does dry with some flakied divots so top coat is recommended for a nice smooth finish. Photos show three coats of In This Sobriety with one coat of Girly Bits Cosmetics Glitter Glaze Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Mercurial

Mercurial features a grey-bue crelly base filled with small charcoal glitters, small blue glitters, tiny aqua glitters and a flecked green shimmer. The formula was very easy to work with and reached full coverage in three coats. Photos show three coats of Mercurial with one coat of OPI Plumping Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Busy Body

Busy Body features a blue jelly base with small black glitters, small indigo shreds, tiny silver holo bar glitters and tiny silver and charcoal glitters. The formula was easy to work with though sheer. I used three coats here and you can still see my nail lines poking through. On the plus side, though I usually dislike shred glitters because they tend to poke up I had no issues with them laying flat here. Graphic Nature

Graphic Nature features a medium blue crelly based with a touch of teal undertones, small silver holo gitters, tiny gunmetal glitters and a fine pink flecked shimmer. The formula was nicely pigmented and easy to work with. I used two coats here for full coverage. Final Thoughts

My personal favorites from this round are Mercurial and Graphic Nature. Unfortunately Arcane Lacquer is no longer in business so you'll have to hunt in destashes if any of these caught your eye.

Happy polishing,

Michelle
