I'm continuing to shop my collection and have a grab bag of shades from a variety of brands to share today. Let's take a look at swatches.
Alchemy Lacquers Gilded Lagoon
Alchemy Lacquers Gilded Lagoon features a shimmery turquoise based filled with an assortment of blue and green glitters, and a strong gold shimmer. The formula was excellent and took three thin coats for full coverage. Photos show three coats of Gilded Lagoon with one coat of OPI Plumping Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Pahlish Train Underwater
Pahlish Train Underwater features a teal jelly base filled with small glitters in shades of blue, teal, red and magenta. The formula was relatively easy to work with and took three coats for full coverage. It did dry down with some glitter texture so top coat is recommended. Photos show three coats of Train Underwater with one coat of OPI Plumping Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
KBShimmer Will Yule Marry Me?
KBShimmer Will Yule Marry Me? features a deep muted teal-blue crelly base filled with silver holo hex, circle and microglitters. The formula was excellent and took two coats for full coverage. If you have curved nail bed likes me you'll want a good coat of top coat to smooth out the bumps from the largest circle glitters. Candeo Colors Julep
Candeo Colors Julep features a super pale blue crelly base filled with silver shimmer, blue hex glitters and a variety of white glitters. The formula was fairly easy to apply and I got almost full coverage after three coats. It does dry down with some glitter texture but top coat took care of it easily. Photos show three coats of Julep with one coat of OPI Plumping Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Lilypad Lacquer United People
Lilypad Lacquer United People features a white crelly base with a fine blue shimmer and tiny silver holo square glitters. The formula was easy to work with and I used three coats for full coverage. It did dry down to a matte finish so top coat was needed for a nice shiny finish. Photos show three coats of United People with one coat of OPI Plumping Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Lilypad Lacquer Fresh
Lilypad Lacquer Fresh features a pale blue base filled with a flecked blue shimmer and silver scatter holo shimmer. The formula was excellent. I used three thin coats for full coverage here but it was so close after two that two may be enough for some. Photos show three coats of Fresh with one coat of OPI Plumping Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Final Thoughts
My personal favorites of these shades are Alchemy Lacquers Gilded Lagoon, KBShimmer Will Yule Marry Me? and Lilypad Lacquer Fresh. Candeo Colors is no longer in business, but you can find Alchemy Lacquers on
