Hello readers,
Today I have a few shades from Emerald & Ash to share with you. Let's take a look at swatches.
Helix Nebula
Helix Nebula features a black jelly base filled with blue and purple flecked shimmer and small to medium silver hex glitters. The formula was relatively easy to work, especially considering the glitter content. I used three coats for full coverage. This shade does dry with glitter texture so you'll want to use top coat. Photos show three coats of Helix Nebula with two coats of OPI Plumping Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Hold On
Hold On is a topper filled with a purple to green shifting shimmer and small green flecks. I used one coat here over Cult Nails Time Traveller. It dries to a matte finish so add top coat if you want shine. Photos show one coat of Hold On over Cult Nails Time Traveller with one coat of OPI Plumping Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Sunset At Sugar Beach
Sunset At Sugar Beach features a cerulean blue crelly base filled with scatter holo shimmer, a pink sheen and a sprinkling of small metallic flakies. The formula was easy to work with and nicely pigmented taking two coats for full coverage. It dried to a satin finish so top coat is recommended for shine. Temper Tantrum
Temper Tantrum is a topper filled with green shimmer and tiny violet iridescent flecks. I used it here over Cult Nails Tempest. This topper dries to a matte finish so you'll want to add top coat if you want shine. Final Thoughts
My personal favorites from this group are Helix Nebula and Sunset At Sugar Beach. Unfortunately Emerald & Ash is no longer in business but you may be able to find some of these kicking around in destashes.
Happy polishing,
Michelle
I miss their cuticle oils so much! They were some of the best I have ever tried.
ReplyDeleteI still have some of their cuticle oil bottles that I refill because the metal roller ball is the best.
DeleteThese are nice :-D
