Brand Challenge: Mainstream Grab Bag

Indie Polish Swatch

Hello readers,
I feature a lot of indie brands on the blog, but I've got lots of mainstream polishes too. Today I'm pulling some of them out to share with you. Let's take a look at swatches.

Gosh Venus

China Glaze What I Like About Blue

China Glaze What I Like About Blue features a turquoise blue base filled with a fine gold shimmer. The formula was easy to apply and took three coats for full coverage. I found this shade took longer than normal to dry though, so give yourself some extra time. Joe Fresh Kaleidoscope features a grey tinted based filled with small pink to gold to green shifting flakies. It can be worn as a full coverage polish, but I decided to use it as a topper here. CND Vinylux Nordic Lights features a deep plum purple jelly base filled with tiny silver holo glitters and a flakies in shades of pink, purple and orange. The formula was easy to to work with and took three coats for full coverage. It does dry down with some small bumps so top coat is recommended. China Glaze Atlantis

China Glaze Atlantis features a teal green jelly based filled with small silver holo glitters. The formula was a tad thick but still workable. I used two coats here for full coverage. It dried down with a fair bit of glitter texture so you'll want to top coat it. Photos show two coats of Atlantis with two coats of OPI Plumping Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
