Hello readers,
Sephora may have discontinued their Formula X line, but that doesn't mean they are worth wearing. I have six untried shades from them in my collection. Let's take a look at swatches.
Wonderment
Wonderment features a matte ivory base with a subtle pink shimmer. The formula was easy to apply though it got these splits as it dried down. After three coats it wasn't as noticeable, but it bugged me enough that I opted for top coat over the soft matter finish. Loose Canon
Loose Canon features tons of tiny black and white glitters in a clear base. I used it as a topper and it had amazing coverage in a single coat. So many teeny specks. It does dry down with some texture so top coat is strongly recommended. Discovery
Discovery features a rich matte turquoise blue base with a subtle turquoise shimmer. The formula was very pigmented and easy to apply but dried down very quickly. A slightly thicker than usual final coat helped with a smooth level finish. Photos show two coats of Discovery in daylight spectrum lighting.
UR Square
UR Square features a pale muted taupe shimmery textured base with red shimmer and lots of tiny pale pink glitters. The formula was easy to work with and nicely pigmented, taking two coats for full coverage. Whirlpool
Whirlpool is a shimmery grey-purple texture polish. The formula was excellent and took two thin coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Whirlpool in daylight spectrum lighting.
Marine
Marine is a shimmery aqua blue texture polish. Another great two coat formua. Photos show two coats of Marine in daylight spectrum lighting.
Final Thoughts
My personal favorites from this set are Loose Canon, Whirlpool and Marine.
Happy polishing,
Michelle
