Hello readers,
Today I'm shopping the untried Contrary Polish shades in my collection. Let's take a look at swatches.
Gift Wrap
Gift Wrap features a deep but bright purple crelly base filled with a fine turquoise shimmer and tiny white gold flecks. The formula was easy to work with and took three coats for full coverage. It dried down to a satin finish so top coat is recommended for shine. Photos show three coats of Gift Wrap with one coat of Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Aruba
Aruba features a medium teal base with a find green shimmer. The formula took three thin coats for full coverage. Like Gift Wrap, you'll want to add top coat for maximum shine. Photos show three coats of Aruba with one coat of Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
River Market
River Market features a deep purple jelly based with a sprinkling of red microglitters. The formula was easy to work with thought sheer. After three coats the whites of my nail tips are still showing through noticeably. I feel like this shade works best layered over base colour for those with distinct nail lines. Final Thoughts
Contrary Polish is on hiatus right now but will hopefully be back in the future. You can keep up to date on
Happy polishing,
Michelle
