New To Me Skin & Nail Care Items From Indie Expo Canada

Indie Expo Canada

Hello readers,
A little over a month ago I attended the third Indie Expo Canada in Toronto, Ontario as part of the official press team. Today I have some skin care goodies I brought home with me to share with you.

Bee's Knees Lacquer Meringue & Cuticle Butter

Bees Knees Merigue Soap

Bee's Knees Lacquer's Meringues are a whipped soap that come in a huge variety of scents. I received a sample of Bad Apple and it smells just as you'd expect, a crisp delicious green apple. The formula in the jar is quite thick, but scoop a little out, add water and it lathers up nicely. A little bit goes a long way, especially with a loofa or bath poof. If you want something a little scrubbier they also have Scroaps, a version with added sugar grit

Bees Knees Cuticle Butter

Bee's Knees Lacquer's Cuticle Butters feature jojoba butter, shea butter and vitamin E to keep your your cuticles moisturized and smooth. The formula feels like a thick dry mousse in the jar, but combined with the warmth of your skin it instantly melts into your fingertips. I got the scent Hear Me Roar which smells so familiar, but for the life of me I cannot place.

Cuter Cuticles Cutie Care Cream

Cuter Cuticles Cutie Care Cream

Cuter Cuticles recently release their Cutie Care Cream. This is basically the lighter formula version of their very popular Barrier Butter that will soak in faster but still deliver tons of moisture. The formula is rather gel like and I found it lived up to the claim of absorbing quickly. I got the scent Nail Pattern Boldness which was created specially for IEC 2019. A mix of tangy raspberry, lime and mint this one smells amazing.

Paint It Pretty Polish Acetone Additive

Paint It Pretty Polish

Unsurprisingly I use a lot of acetone. Like, a lot. Acetone additives help me keep my nails and fingers from drying out and I use it pretty religiously. Just add the vial featuring ingredients like glycerin, jojoba oil and grapeseed oil into your bottle of straight up acetone for a gentler but still effective polish remover. If, like me, you buy a remover that already has some moisturizing elements built in, just halve the ratio of additive to remove. I find it still make a noticeable difference.

Happy polishing,

Michelle
