Hello readers,
Today I have Emily de Molly's upcoming September release to share with you. Let's take a look at swatches.
Be Still And Know
Be Still And Know features a deep purple jelly base filled with small blue flecks, medium pink glitters and a strong copper brown magnetic shimmer. The formula was easy to work with. I applied two coats normally and then magnetized the third, as well as using a magnet after top coat. Photos show three coats of Be Still And Know with one coat of Glisten & Glow H.K. Girl top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Cake In A Crisis
Cake In A Crisis features a neon lime green crelly base filled with gold flakes. The formula was excellent (especially for a neon!). I used three thin coats here for full coverage. This shade dries down to a waxy matte finish so top coat is recommended for shine. Photos show three coats of Cake In A Crisis with one coat of Glisten & Glow H.K. Girl top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Crime Of Passion
Crime Of Passion features a saturated magenta base filled with pink flecked foiled shimmer. The formula was super pigmented. I used two coats here, but if you have shorter nails or a less distinct nail line than me this will likely be a one-coater for you. Everyday Is The Same
Everyday Is The Same features a dark purple jelly base filled with a rainbow of iridescent flakies. The formula feels a little thick due to the sheer volume of flakies, but was still easy to apply. This dries down with some flakie divots so top coat is recommended for a perfect smooth finish. Photos show two coats of Everyday Is The Same with one coat of Glisten & Glow H.K. Girl top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Left Turns
Left Turns features a medium blurple crelly base filled with green to purple shifting iridescent flakies. This was another formula that felt a little thick because of all the flakies but still applied fairly easily. This shade dries down to a satin finish with some flakie divots so top coat is recommended for a perfect shiny finish. Photos show two coats of Left Turns with one coat of Glisten & Glow H.K. Girl top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Picking Petals
Picking Petals features a pale grey-blue crelly base filled with tiny pale pink metallic flecks. The formula was excellent taking two thin coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Picking Petals with one coat of Glisten & Glow H.K. Girl top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Riot Of Shadows
Riot Of Shadows features a muted grey-blue base filled with a glowing red to gold to green shifting shinner and tons of tiny silver holo glitters. The formula was excellent and took three thin coats fo full coverage. Photos show three coats of Riot Of Shadows with one coat of Glisten & Glow H.K. Girl top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
The Morning Light
The Morning Light features a pale grey tinted base packed with silver holo microglitters and a strong pink to gold shifting shimmer. I used two coats here for full coverage. This dried quite smooth for a microglitter. I only needed one coat of a thicker top coat to smooth out the texture. If you use a thinner top coat you may need two. Final Thoughts
My personal favorites from this release are Picking Petals and Riot Of Shadows. The September release will be available on Wednesday September 25th, 2019 at 10am AEST on the Australian site and Tuesday September 24th, 2019 at 8pm EDT on the US & International site. Be Still And Know and Picking Petals are limited to a single large batch, the other shades should be around for a while. You can find Emily de Molly on
