Zoya Barefoot Collection Swatches & Review

Zoya Barefoot Collection

Hello readers,
Today I have the Zoya Barefoot Collection for Summer 2019 to share with you. This collecion features a mix of shimmer and cremes ranging from neutral to bright. There's also a glitter topper in the mix. Let's take a look at swatches.

Joey

Zoya JoeyZoya Barefoot

Joey is a pale pink creme with a hint of peach undertones. The formula on this one was difficult. It was streaky and patchy, and did not want to self level. I was able to build it up to full coverage in three coats but top coat was 100 % necessary to smooth out the uneven finish. Photos show three coats of Joey with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Tessa

Zoya TessaZoya Barefoot

Tessa is a muted peach with a subtle gold flecked shimmer. The formula on this one was somehow pigmented and patchy at the same time. It would have been full coverage in two coats except for a few sheer spots which forced my to add a third. Dacey

Dacey is a hot pink creme. The formula was excellent taking two thin coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Dacey with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Robbie

Zoya RobbieZoya Barefoot

Robbie features a medium pink foiled shimmer base with lots of small gold flecks. The formula was easy to work with and took two coats for full coverage. This dried down to a satin finish so top coat is recommended for shine. Photos show two coats of Robbie with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Eleni

Zoya EleniZoya Barefoot

Eleni is a robins egg blue creme. The formula was easy to apply though streaky at first. However, it seemed to consistently self level and even out on its own as it dried so the finished look was just fine. I used three coats for full coverage though it was so close after two that those with shorter nails or a less distinct nail line than me will likely find two is enough. Dallas

Zoya DallasZoya Barefoot

Dallas features a clear base with tiny silver glitters and a couple sizes of small white glitters. The formula was easy to work with and the glitters all lay flat on the nail. I found floating my brush slightl produced the best glitter payoff. Photos show one coats of Dallas over Eleni with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Walker

Zoya WalkerZoya Barefoot

Walker is a vibrant blue creme. This one was tricky to photograph. My photos tend to add some fluorescent undertones, it is bright but not neon in real life. However, the bottle shot and colour block shots are quite colour accurate. The formula was easy to work with. I used three coats here for full coverage but it was so close after two that those with shorter nails or a less distinct nail line than me will probably find two is enough. Marcy

Zoya MarcyZoya Barefoot

Marcy is a vibrant orange jelly base packed with fine orange and pink shimmer. The formula was surprisingly pigmented for a jelly base. I used two coats for full coverage here. Photos show two coats of Marcy with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Rie

Zoya RieZoya Barefoot

Rie is a warm medium purple creme. The formula was easy to work with and took three coats for full coverage, though like many of the cremes in this collection I think two will be enough for some. Photos show three coats of Rie with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Bee

Zoya BeeZoya Barefoot

Bee is a buttery yellow creme. The formula was easy to work with and takes 2-3 coats for full coverage depending on your nails. I used three coats here but it was really close after two. Photos show three coats of Bee with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
