Hello readers,
Today I have another installment in my challenge to myself to shop my collection more. This post features Femme Fatale Cosmetics and since I store my polishes sorted by brand and then colour, this one ended up being heavy on whites and pale greys. Let's take a look at swatches.
Frost Quake
Frost Quake features a pale grey crelly base filled with tones of tiny glitters and flecks in shades of blue and silver. The formula was excellent and took three thin coats for full coverage. Photos show three coats of Frost Quake with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Bewitched
Bewitched features a pale silver linear holo base filled with a tiny silver holo glitters and a soft gold sheen. The formula was excellent and took three thin coats for full coverage, though it was so close after two that two may be enough for some. This does dry down with a fine texture so top coat is recommended for a smooth shiny finish. Maiden's Patience
Maiden's Patience features a pale grey crelly base filled with a variety of small to medium silver holo hex glitters and a turquoise shimmer. The formula on this one was patchy and a little tricky to build up evenly. I used three coats here but my nail line still shows through in some spots. The formula dries down quite bumpy to top coat is a must. I used one in the photos here but ended up adding a second afterwards because the remaining unevenness was annoying me. Glimmerbreath
Glimmerbreath features a white crelly base with a fine green shimmer, tiny holo silver glitters and flecks and small to medium iridescent orange to green shifting glitters. The formula was easy to work with though a tad sheer. I got 90% coverage after three coats. Reticence
Reticence features a green-grey shimmery base filled with scatter holo shimmer, tiny gunmetal flecks and tiny silver glitters. The formula was easy to work with and took three coats for full coverage, though it was so close after two that two may be enough for some. Breath Of Zephyros
Breath Of Zephyros features a shimmery silver base with a fine blue shimmer, scatter holo shimmer and a few sizes of small holo gold glitters. The formula was easy to work with and took three coats for full coverage. This dries down quite smooth for something with microglitters but top coat is recommened for a perfect finish. Final Thoughts
My personal favorites from this selection are Frost Quake and Bewitched. You can find Femme Fatale Cosmetics on
Happy polishing,
Michelle
