Today I'm going through my Reverie Nail Lacquer shades in my challenge to myself to shop my collection more. Clearly I like my blue glitter jellies. Let's take a look at swatches.
MP-166
MP-166 features a blue tinted base filled wtih silver shimmer, translucrent green glitters, whit glitters, a variety of silver holo glitters and a sprinkling of silver shimmer. I didn't think this would be full coverage on its own so I layered it over Zoya Dory. Photos show two coats of MP-166 over Zoya Dory with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Moon In Sagittarius
Moon In Sagittarius features a cobalt blue jelly base fillted with tons of glitters in sahdes of blue, white, violet and pink along with a fine silver flecked shimmer. The formula was easy to work with for a glitter filled polish. I used three coats here and got close to full coverage. I completely forgot to let my bottle sit upside down before hand. If I had I think I'd have got more of the larger glitter on my nails and it would be full coverage. Tide Pools
Tide Pools features a deep blue jelly base filled with medium dot and hex glitters in shades of copper, gold, blue and green along with a sprinkling of white stars. I used two coats here, except on my index finger where I added a third to see if it made a huge difference. This shade dried down with a lot of glitter bumps and require two coats of top coat to smooth out. Stardust
Stardust features a cobalt blue jelly base filled with white stars, sky blue hexes yellow hexes, iridescent blue bars and small silver holo glitters. The formula was quite easy to work with for a glitter jelly. I used three coats here for full coverage and only needed one coat of top coat to smooth things out. Magical Night Of Lights
Magical Lights At Night features a navy blue jelly base filled with silver holo shimmer, small silver holo glitters, small red glitters and small gold glitters. The formula was excellent and nicely pigmented. Two coats was enough for full coverage but I added a third for extra depth. MP-017
MP-017 features a sapphire blue jelly base filled with a variety of silver holo glitters, white stars, iridescent blue bars and small glitters in shades of silver, red and copper. The formula was a tad thick mostly because of the sheer amount of glitter in there. I used two coats for full coverage here. Photos show two coats of MP-017 with two coats of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Final Thoughts
My personal favorite of the bunch is Magical Lights At Night with Moon In Sagittarius and Stardust close behind. Unfortunately Reverie Nail Lacquer isn't in business anymore. However, you might be able to find some of these kicking around in destashes.
