Hello Waffle Cosmetics Visage March 2019 Unboxing & Swatches

Hello Waffle Visage March 2019 swatch review

Hello readers,
Today I have Hello Waffle Cosmetics' March Visage box to share with you. I realize this review is a bit delayed. I moved houses last month and managed to pack this up, completely forget which box it was in and then take longer than anticipated to relocate it. March's Visage box was inspired by the nonsense poem Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll. It features a bright colour palette which I am quite excited for. Let's take a look at swatches.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Bandersnatch Eyeshadow

Bandersnatch features a dark navy-leaning teal base filled with green shimmer and purple sparks. The formula was quite pigmented and built up to full coverage easily over primer. I'd recommend using a primer with this one to keep the sparkles and shimmer glued down.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Mome Raths Eyeshadow

Mome Raths features a matte grape purple base filled with tiny green sparkles. Another pigmented shaded that applied easily.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Slithy Toves Eyeshadow

Slithy Toves is a peale shimmery aqua with a strong green sheen and a hint of sparkle. This built up to full coverage easily over primer. I think if you buffed it out it could make a lovely unique highlighter too.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics O Frabjous Day Blush

O Frabjous Day features a super bright matte pink base with a sprinkling of blue sparks. This looks quite intimidating in the jar for a blush, but it is a little more subdued (but definitely still bright) once applied. The swatch below was applied heavily so you could get a sense of the colour and sparkle. You could definitely buff it out more if you wanted.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Jubjub Bird Highlight

Jubjub Bird features a pale cream with a strong pink to violet shifting sheen. My swatch picture does not do justice to the real life glow.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics The Tulgey Wood Lipstick

The Tulgey Wood is a deep forest green lip colour. Unfortunately the pigmentation I wanted for a shade like this just wasn't there. It applied sheer and patchy. It took a lot of swipes to get the coverage in the swatch below and my natural lip colour is still showing through in spots.

Apocalyptic Beauty Vorpal Eyeshadow

This month's guest indie was Apocalyptic Beauty. They contributed Vorpal, a super bright almost neon chartreuse green eyeshadow. The formula was very pigmented and built up to full coverage easily over primer. The finish sits somewhere on the border of satin and shimmer.

Final Thoughts

My personal favorites this month are the Jubjub Bird highlight, Slithy Toves eyeshadow and Vorpal Eyeshadow. Overall I'm really happy to see such vivid colours making it into the Visage mix. You can find Hello Waffle Cosmetics on
