Today I have four shades of Almay's Velvet Foil Cream Eyeshadow to share with you. Let's take a look at swatches.
The Velvet Foil Cream Eyeshadows feature a cream formula that dries down to a powder finish. Once dried down, which it does quickly, this stuff does not budge. You'll want to use a dedicated makeup remover rather than a regular cleanser to get them off.
080 Out Of The Woods - A deep warm brown with hints of copper shimmer. The formula was very pigmented and easy to smooth out.
110 Black Lightning - A charcoal grey with tiny purple sparks. Another pigmented formula that was easy to apply.
030 Golden Vibes - A pale muted gold with a satin finish once dried down. This wasn't quite as pigmented as Out Of The Woods or Black Lighting but still built up to full coverage easily.
010 End Game - A deep cool toned brown with brown shimmer. This formula was more difficult to work with than the other three. I found it clumped up when I was applying it and I couldn't get a smooth consistent finish.

To test the wear time of these cream shadows I put together a simple smokey look using Black Lighting. I applied it with my finger all over the lid and up into the crease. Then I buffed out the upper edge using a matte taupe shadow and added some mascara. Here's the important part. I used zero primer whatsoever and I have super crease-prone hooded lids that always need primer. After a full work day this, despite no primer, this shadow stayed put on my lids. I am seriously amazed.
First Impressions
My personal favorite of these four is Black Lighting. I love the extra pop from the little purple sparks. With the exception of End Game the formulas were excellent so if you like cream to powder shadows Out Of The Woods, Black Lighting and Golden Vibes could be worth checking out.
