Hello readers,
Today I have Girly Bits Cosmetics' Spring 2019 Collection to share with you. This collection features six shades that are full of shimmer and holo. Let's take a look at swatches.
Crocus Pocus
Crocus Pocus features a medium lavender jelly base filled with flecked orange to red to green shifting shimmer, a hint of turquoise shimmer and pink to green shifting iridescent flakes. The formula seemed quite sheer on the first coats but built up nicely to full coverage in three. Photos show three coats of Crocus Pocus with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Holo From The Other Side
Holo From The Other Side is a silver linear holo with a soft pink glow and teeny purple flecks. The formula was very pigmented taking two thin coats for full coverage. Photos show two coats of Holo From The Other Side with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Calla Me Maybe
Calla Me Maybe features a vibrant tomato red jelly base filled with gold shimmer, small gold flecks and scatter holo shimmer. The formula was surprisingly pigmented for a jelly and took two coats for full coverage. Absinthe Fairy
Absinthe Fairy feature a pickle green base filled with red to green shifting shimmer, teeny holo flakes, holo god shimmer and a sprinkling of small red to gold shifting metallic flakies. You could probably get away with two coats, but I added a third for extra depth. Photos show three coats of Absinthe Fairy with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Lunar Ice
Lunar Ice features a pale silver base filled with copper to green shifting shimmer, teeny holo flakes, scatter holo shimmer and pink to green to gold shifting iridescent flakies. The overall effect is very glowy. I used three thin coats here for full coverage. Photos show three coats of Lunar Ice with one coat of Essie Gel Setter top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Lord of the Springs
Lord Of The Springs features a vibrant green-leaning teal jelly base filled with red go gold shifting shimmer, teeny holo flakes and a sprinkling of small red to green shifting iridescent flakies. I used three coats here for full coverage though it was so close after two that those with shorter nails or a less distinct nail line than me may find two is enough. Final Thoughts
My personal favorites from this release are Lunar Ice and Lord Of The Springs. That really just comes down to my personal style though since there weren't any duds as far as the formulas are concerned. The Spring 2019 Collection is available now. You can find Girly Bits Cosmetics on
Happy polishing,
Michelle
