Illimité Japanese Art Collection Swatches & Review

Illimite Japanese Art

Hello readers,
Today I have the Illimité Japanese Art Collection to share with you. This collection was inspired by the creativity and artistry of Japan. Let's take a look at swatches.

Umi

Illimite UmiIllimite Umi

Umi features a dark (cold) to medium (warm) blue thermal base filled with small orange iridescent glitters and tiny silver holo glitters. The formula was on the thick side and required two coats for full coverage. I recommend waiting a little extra time between coats to avoid dragging. This shade dries to a matte somewhat textured finish so top coat is definitely recommended. Photos show two coats of Umi with one coat of Live Love Polish Quick Dry Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Sumi

Sumi features a black (cold) to clear (warm) thermal based filled with large gold flakes and tiny silver holo glitters. The formula was relatively easy to work with though I do recommend waiting a little extra time between coats to avoid dragging. This shade dries down to a matte finish so top coat is recommended for shine. Photos show two coats of Sumi with one coat of Live Love Polish Quick Dry Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Matsu

Matsu features a deep green base filled with small silver flecks. The formula was excellent and super pigmented taking a single coat for full coverage. Photos show one coats of Matsu with one coat of Live Love Polish Quick Dry Top Coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Kumo

Kumo features a medium grey (cold) to pale silver (warm) thermal base with lots of tiny silver holo glitters and a sprinkling of scatter holo shimmer. The formula was easy to work with taking two coats for full coverage. This thermal is a little more subtle and I found it tended to sit in the cold state on my hands. Koi

Koi features a rich orange (cold) to translucent pale pink (warm) thermal base with a gold flakes and tiny gold glitters. The formula was nicely pigmented though thicker than I would have preferred. I recommend waiting a little extra time between coats to avoid dragging. This dries down to to a matte finish with some texture from the flakes so top coat is recommended. Kinpaku

Kinpaku features a clear base filled with tiny brassy-gold flecks and a sprinkling of tiny holo glitters. The formula was easy to work with and surprisingly pigmented for a clear based polish. I used two coats for full coverage here. This shade dries shiny and smooth on its own but I added top coat out of habit.
