Today I have Paint It Pretty Polish's New Years Duo to share with you. Let's take a look at swatches.
Midnight Kisses
Midnight Kisses features a silver holo base with metallic flakies in jewel tone shades. The formula was easy to work with and takes 2-3 coats for full coverage. It will be opaque after two but you may want to add a third for extra flakie goodness. That's what I did here. This dries relatively smoothly but does have the occasional flakie divot so I recommend adding top coat for a perfectly smooth finish. Photos show three coats of Midnight Kisses with one coat of Sephora X Shine XCEL top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
New Beginnings
New Beginning features a medium icy blue base with a strong flecked shimmer in shades of pink orange and green. The formula was easy to apply though it was a bit sheer for my distinct nail lines. After three coats they still show through a teeny bit in bright lighting. If you have shorter nails or a less prominent nail line than me, you likely won't experience this. Photos show three coats of New Beginnings with one coat of Sephora X Shine XCEL top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Final Thoughts
My personal favorite of the two is Midnight Kisses. It's just so shiny and blingy and screams celebration time. The New Years duo will be releasing on December 21st, 2018. You can find Paint It Pretty Polish on
