Hello readers,
Today I have next installment of my shop my collection series to share with you. For the last few weeks I've been picking shades from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer to try out. Let's take a look at swatches.
The Stars Are Crystal Lights
The Stars Are Crystal Lights features a medium blurple crelly base filled with a flecked orange-pink iridescent shimmer. The formula was easy to work with though a bit sheer. After three coats my nail lines still show through in bright lighting. This shade dries to a satin finish so top coat is recommended for shine. To Dawn From Dusk
To Dawn From Dusk features a deep blue jelly base filled with small iridescent glitters and flecks. The formula was easy to work with and built up to full coverage in three coats. This shade dries to a satin finish so I recommend top coat for shine. Photos show three coats of To Dawn From Dusk with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Lilac Blondes On The Beach
Lilac Blondes On The Beach features a pale cool-toned beige base filled with scatter holo shimmer and violet iridescent flecks. The formula was easy to work with and though I used three coats here, I think two will be enough for those with shorter nails of a less distinct nail line than me. This shade dries down to a matte finish so top coat is recommended for shine. In The Dawning Light
In The Dawning Light feature an aubergine purple base with a strong red-copper shimmer. This is one of those rare shades where the shimmer looks stronger on the nail than it does in the bottle. The formula was a bit sheer at first but built up to full coverage in three coats. This shade dries to a waxy finish so top coat is recommend for shine and to bring out the shimmer. The Night Tears Us Loose
The Night Tears Us Loose is a deep teal leaning green holo. The formula on this was is excellent and super pigmented. I used two coats here, but had I not been anticipating shoving my hands under bright light box lights I would have left it at one. Siren's Lament
Siren's Lament features a deep blue crelly base filled with a translucent violet flecked shimmer. The formula on this one was a tad thick but still workable. I used two coats here for full coverage. This shade dries down to a waxy finish so top coat is recommended for shine. Photos show two coats of Siren's Lament with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.
Final Thoughts
My personal favorites of the bunch are Lilac Blondes On The Beach, In The Dawning Light and The Night Tears Us Loose. You can find Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer on
