Brand Challenge: Bee's Knees Lacquer

Bees Knees Lacquer Review

Hello readers,
Today I'm continuing my challenge to myself to shop my stash more. For the last few weeks I've been focusing on shades from Bee's Knees Lacquer and managed to make through all my untrieds. Let's take a look at swatches.

Aurora Borealis

Aurora Borealis features a deep blue base filled with teal flakes and teal to blue shifting magnetic shimmer. The formula was very easy to work with and nicely pigmented taking two coats for full coverage. I applied the first coat normally and then used an arc magnet with the second coat. Photos show two coats of Aurora Borealis with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

I Will Find You In The Next World

Bees Knees Lacquer I Will Find You In The Next WorldBees Knees Lacquer I Will Find You In The Next World review

I Will Find You In The Next World is a flecked magnetic shimmer that shifts from copper to gold to green. This is one of those colours that doesn't fit my usual style at all but somehow just works. The formula was easy to work with and nicely pigmented taking two coats for full coverage. I applied the first coat normally and then used an arc magnet with the second coat. Photos show two coats of I Will Find You In The Next World with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Dreams That Are Answered

Dreams That Are Answered features a clear base packed with teal to blue shifting shimmer, gold to orange to green and teal to blue shifting iridescent flakes and a sprinkling of fine scatter holo shimmer. I used it here as a topper over Girly Bits Cosmetics Just The Flax Ma'am. The formula was very nice to work with and I had no issues getting shimmery even coverage. Photos show one coat of Dreams That Are Answered over Just The Flax Ma'am with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Luck Isn't A Super Power features a sheer grey base filled with small green and fuchsia flakes, teeny black flecks and a fine green magnetic shimmer. The formula was easy to work with and took three coats for full coverage. Though this is officially a magnetic polish I didn't magnetize here. Photos show three coats of Luck Isn't A Superpower with one coat of Essie Gel Couture top coat in daylight spectrum lighting.

Final Thoughts

If I had to pick a favorite I think it would be Dreams That Are Answered. It's just such a soft ethereal shade. You can find Bee's Knees Lacquer on

Happy polishing,

Michelle
