Hello readers,
Today I have another stamping plate from Born Pretty Store to share with you. I love the stained glass look of this plate. Let's take a look at the nail art I put together with it.
The BP-L089 stamping plate features a variety of animals in a stenciled stained glass motif. I tried this with my Clear Jelly Stamper and unfortunately had a lot of trouble picking up the images, even using my most trusted silver stamping polish - Color Club What A Drag. It took 3-4 attempts per nail to get a complete enough image that I was willing to use it. After putting together the look shown below, I did a quick test to see if my MoYou London marshmallow was able to do any better, and the good new is that it picked up images much more consistently.
For this nail art I started with a base of Girly Bits Cosmetics Now & Then. I used Girly Bits Cosmetics Old, New, Borrowed & Blue to stamp the bottom jewel and Color Club What A Drag to stamp the top jewel. Everything was sealed up with a coat of CND Creative Play top coat. Photos were taken in daylight spectrum lighting.
Overall this plate is somewhat finicky. If you like the designs and don't plan on using it with a clear stamping it will work well, but if clear stampers are your stamper of choice I would skip this one. You can find Born Pretty Store on
Happy polishing,
Michelle
