Hello readers,
Today I have Hello Waffle Cosmetics' June Visage box to share with you. This month's selection was inspired by the short story (or perhaps it is best termed a poem) A Fairy Went A-Marketing by Rose Fyleman and features tones of mauve, taupe and purple. Let's take a look at swatches.
Hello Waffle Cosmetics Gilded Entrapment Eyeshadow
Gilded Entrapment features a pale mauve base with a beautiful golden pink sheen. This one was nicely pigmented though I do recommend using it over primer to really bring out the shimmer.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Tiny Messenger Eyeshadow
Tiny messenger features a chocolate brown base with pink and copper flecks. I first tried this over primer but found that the base ended up looking a bit muddy. Luckily it still nicely pigmented over bare skin (shown below).

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Gossamer & Thistledown Fairy Dust Overshadow
Gossamer & Thistledown features a muted purple base with a variety of glitters including tones of silver, gold and violet. There is a lot of glitter in here so I highly recommend using it with a dedicated sticky glitter primer to help keep them glued down.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics Shrill & Sweet Blush/Highlight
Shrill & Sweet is a pale cool-toned purple with white and golden shimmer. This one is a bit of a chameleon. Buffed over bare skin it sheers out to a muted mauve with a soft shimmer. Applied over primer it is a foiled purple. I dare say that this should be called a blush/highlight/eyeshadow.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics With Gratitude Contour
With Gratidue is a medium cool-toned taupe with slight pink undertones. It looks a bit dark and intimidating in the jar, but once blended it is actually quite a soft shade.

Hello Waffle Cosmetics The Fae Market Lipstick
The Fae Market is medium rose creme lipstick. The formula felt a bit stiffer than I'm used to from the Hello Waffle slimline lipstick formula, but they are usually quite creamy, so don't interpret that as difficult to apply or uncomfortable on the lips. I think this might help it wear a little longer too.

The Frisky Pixie To And Fro Eyeshadow
This month's guest indie was The Frisky Pixie. Their contribution was To And Fro, a deep plum purple eyeshadow with a pink sheen and violet sparks. The formula was very pigmented and applied easily over primer.

Conclusion
I'm loving this month's colour palette. My personal favorites are the Gilded Entrapment eyeshadow and multitasking Shrill & Sweet blush/highlight(/eyeshadow). You can find Hello Waffle Cosmetics on
Happy polishing,
Michelle
